On November 6 and 7, 2014, the International Forum on Business Ethical Conduct (“IFBEC”) will host its annual conference in Brussels, Belgium.  The IFBEC Annual Conference is designed to encourage an interactive dialogue that promotes and enhances global, industry-wide ethical standards within the aerospace and defense industry.  The Conference will include a range of speakers including senior executives from Airbus Group, BAE Systems, Plc., Embraer S.A., Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, SAIC, and Thales and representatives from NATO, the OECD, the European Parliament, and the U.S. Government.  Panels will address emerging trends, risks, and opportunities in the area of business ethical conduct, and will consider strategies for combatting corruption and enhancing a culture of integrity within industry.

Covington & Burling LLP serves as the Coordinator of IFBEC, which was founded in 2010 to join all major US and European defense contractors, with their endorsement of the Global Principles of Business Ethical Conduct.  IFBEC held its first conference in Berlin, Germany in 2010 and has since grown to include the top global aerospace and defense firms in the world and members of their supply chains.  The Forum is open to all companies interested in sharing business practices for sustainable competitiveness and encourages members to exchange information and best practices concerning ethical business challenges and practices.  For more information about IFBEC, to register for this year’s conference, and/or to join, please visit http://ifbec.info/annual-conference/.
